Bring Back The Butterflies Cooperative
In North Carolina Butterfly habitat is being destroyed every day. The use of pesticides and the removal of important host plants, and nectar plants, are rapidly decreasing our butterfly populations.
Let’s all do our part and plant beneficial plants in our yards to Bring Back the Butterflies. We can make a difference. |
Our goal is to spread the magic of butterflies by providing the community a source for beneficial butterfly plants.

Butterflies are a sign of hope. The transformation from a tiny egg to a beautiful butterfly is truly magic. Bring Back The Butterflies Cooperative was created to make butterfly host plants easily accessible to the public. In this ever developing world. The crucial plants that butterflies rely on for food are diminishing. We believe, if everyone has a few butterfly host plants in their garden, the world will be a happier, healthier place. Everyone should be able to enjoy the graceful beauty of a butterfly.
Why butterflies matter?

Why butterflies matter?
- They are truly beautiful. Bring a sense of hope and peace to people.
- Butterflies and moths populations indicate if the local ecosystems are healthy. Obviously higher populations represent a more sustainable ecosystem that can support wildlife. More butterflies in the environment means that other beneficial pollinators are present in the area as well.
- Butterflies are an important element of the food chain.
- Butterflies pollinate plants. Plants require pollinator species to create seeds which is how plants reproduce.
- They are just plain awesome!
"The butterflies...What an educated sense of beauty they have. They seem only an ornament to society, and yet, if they were gone, how substantial would be their loss".
